WES Programme Summary and Future Plans

This presentation covers an update from WES on the progress of the overall programme and an introduction to the participants in each of the four development streams of Power Take-Off, Novel WEC, Structural Materials and Manufacturing Processes, and Control Systems. (David Langston)

In addition, there is also an overview of the planned landscaping projects which will take place during 2018, covering cost reduction in supporting infrastructure, very large scale generation, and alternative generation technologies. (Jonathan Hodges)

An overview was given on the Metrics development work in collaboration with a number of international partners. (Jillian Henderson)

An interactive session was held during the day allowing attendees provide feedback to WES on what they would like to see in the future. The introduction slides are shared here. (Elva Bannon)

Ocean Energy Stage Gate Metrics Validation Workshop

This report presents the results from a workshop held to validate a set of stage gate metrics for ocean energy technology development programmes. This workshop is the third in a series of workshops which form part of an ongoing collaboration in defining stage gate metrics. This was delivered by Wave Energy Scotland on behalf of and funded by the OCEANERA-NET.
