Wave Energy Scotland's second Annual Conference took place on Tuesday 28th November 2017 at the John MacIntyre Building in Edinburgh. With the recently awarded Control Systems Stage 1 contracts, there were 35 projects in the WES programme at this time.

During the one day conference, participants in the Power Take-Off (PTO), Novel Wave Energy Converter (NWEC) and Structural Materials and Manufacturing Processes (SMMP) programmes each gave a short presentation to update attendees on their progress during the previous year. In addition to this, WES gave an update on the overall programme, and there were a number of presentations to inform on other areas of research and opportunities across the wider sector.
