Wave Energy Scotland’s fourth call was for Feasibility Studies on Control Systems for Wave Energy Converters (WECs), including detailed definition of follow-up Design and Development Project proposals.

It is once again a three stage programme, with the overall objective being to design, develop and demonstrate advanced control systems for WECs and sub-systems which will deliver improvements in performance, affordability, survivability and reliability along with benefits in other WES Target Outcome Metrics.

The programme was originally developed with input from landscaping studies previously completed by WES.

This package of documents covers the full set of requirements for Stage 1 of the 3-Stage programme, and includes slides for presentations given at the inception event, held in May 2017.

Please note; entries into the CS Programme are closed. Projects that were originally accepted into Stage 1 have progressed into future stages of the programme through closed competitions.
